About Eddy Kubwimana

I am a Computer Science graduate from Ashesi University, Cum Laude, and the Founder & CEO of PayVista, a Burundi-focused fintech company working to make financial services more accessible, reliable and useful for underserved communities.

My work sits at the intersection of technology, financial inclusion and entrepreneurship. At PayVista, we support mobile money agents with liquidity and financial services while building the technology and operational infrastructure needed to serve a growing digital economy.

Beyond fintech, I am interested in using technology as a tool for broader development. Through Internet4All Burundi, I am working to expand affordable community internet access and create opportunities for students and communities to learn, research and use digital tools, including artificial intelligence.

Founded and lead PayVista, a fintech venture focused on improving financial access and liquidity for mobile money agents and underserved customers in Burundi.

  • Built the company from an early-stage venture into a growing fintech operation.
  • Serve more than 827 mobile money agents.
  • Created 15 full-time and 7 part-time jobs.
  • Raised more than $46,000 during 2026.
  • Grew first-semester 2026 revenue by approximately 100%.
